Since 2002, the choir has enjoyed a strong link with the Wessex Cancer Trust (WCT). We are delighted to have been able to support them in many ways. Wessex Cancer Trust was the nominated charity of Sara Champion, a long time choir and committee member. Sara tragically died after a two-year battle with the disease, prompting the choir to approach the Trust.
We have enjoyed helping the Trust by:

• Entering two teams into the Aqualap fundraising event, a sponsored swim, every year since 2002. In the 2007 Aqualap, we raised over £1900 in this way.
• Selling WCT Christmas cards to choir members.
• Inviting WCT to hold a raffle at our Christmas concerts.
• Holding bucket collections at our major concerts in Southampton and Winchester.

The award-winning 2007 group (Team 1, "Too Many Cooks"; Team 2, "No Cooks At All") are pictured above after notching up over 120 laps, swum in relay.
