Being homeless means not having a place of your own to call home.
... The Society of St James (SSJ) is a Southampton based charity offering a range of assistance and services to support the complex needs of those affected by homelessness and other difficulties causing vulnerability. Our services run every day of the year to help homeless people change their lives for good.
... At SSJ, we believe that every individual has a right to a home. We believe that individuals should be given the opportunity to develop skills that enable them to lead a fulfilling life."
SSJ also have a social enterprise division, Jamie's Computers, which recycles unwanted computer equipment. Jamie’s Computers offers a free professional and secure IT disposal service to businesses and individuals. We refurbish donated computers and make them available for reuse, whilst anything that cannot be reused is recycled.
