Bach Christmas Oratorio   This mighty work has all the profundity and grandeur associated with Bach's great choral works, with the added joy and celebration of the Christmas story. Told in a series of dazzling choruses and sublime solo arias, the familiar narrative unfolds with ever-increasing charm and subtelty. The music is varied and often dramatic but is always radiant and exquisite. Played by the baroque specialist orchestra The Hanover Band using period instruments, and sung by a distinguished team of four British soloists, this promises to be an ideal preparation for the festive season.
